It’s no secret that life can become overwhelming. God never promised that this life would be easy, just that He would see us through the tough times.

So, how are we to handle the times in the valley? What do we do in those moments when our sorrow is so great, and God feels so distant?
Find Solace in God’s Arms When Life Becomes Overwhelming
In Psalm 119: 28, the psalmist says, “My soul is weary with sorrow.” It would be easy for him to shake his fist at God and demand reprieve, but instead, the psalmist goes on to say, “strengthen me according to your word.” After praising God and affirming his commitment to Him, the psalmist concludes with, “My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.” When life becomes too much to bear, turn to Psalm 119. There’s comfort in knowing that we’re not alone in our struggles and suffering.
