Quiet Neighbors

Have you noticed that neighborhoods are not as bustling with children as they used to be? One reason may be that so many of today’s kids are in front of some kind of screen or keyboard.

The American Academy of Pediatrics now confirms that 2 hours per day is the absolute maximum our kids should be allowed to use digital technology. Any more than this diminishes brain growth, delays development, contributes to obesity, and can lead to things like digital dementia, aggression, sleep deprivation, and digital addiction. Science has also established the fact that just being outdoors in and of itself is a positive contributor to physical and mental health.
