With a strong biblical foundation our kids will have something to counter the cultures influences.
But parents have to teach them.
Psalm 78:4-7
We have an obligation to our posterity, yet teaching our kids the foundations in scripture isn’t a guarantee they’ll never rebel. No more than giving them a life preserver is a guarantee they’ll never drown. But it does increase the odds.
Paraphrasing Psalm 78:4-7, it says this- we’ll tell the next generation about the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord: His power and wonders. God decreed statutes and the law in Israel which he commanded our forefathers to teach their children so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born. And they in turn would tell their generation. Then they would trust in God and not forget his deed, but would keep his commandments.
