One reason today’s young people are wary of having their own kids is the suppressed truth that child-rearing has been seen as unpleasant. Why spend time with a herd of unruly brats that make you want to pull your hair out and keep you from the finer things of life?
Kids are seen as liabilities by this generation. They take up time, money, and slow career progression. Members of the younger generations are also not shown a socially accepted way to make kids behave. After all, many from their own generation weren’t made to mind or respect their parents. Discipline has been a dying art for two or three generations, and things are only getting worse.
