Nobody likes a bully. They push you around and knock you down, and may be your child.
Have you ever thought that your child is a bully?
If so, there are definitely some things to be on the lookout for. Is your child impulsive? When he wants something from a sibling, does he just take it? Does he lack empathy and blame others for his mistakes?
While boys tend to use their physical size to bully, girls tend to use their popularity and superficial charm and beauty to get their way.
But, before a bully can be dealt with, he must be recognized as such. Spending more time with your child, while decreasing violent TV, movies, or video games are all good starts.
While reinforcing his compassionate behavior, expose his bullying for what it is. Then lovingly discipline every incident with consistency.
