Wisdom 2 – The Internet has made this a very knowledgeable generation. But what to do with that knowledge. That’s today on License To Parent with Trace Embry.
Today’s teens have become, arguably, the most knowledgeable generation in all of history, and certainly just as intelligent. But, having libraries at their fingertips is proving no guarantee they have the wisdom to use that knowledge positively. I think that’s because it’s easy to blur the lines between knowledge, intelligence, and wisdom. Knowledge is the content of the brain’s library. Intelligence is the ability to file and retrieve that knowledge. But wisdom is what we do with it. Without wisdom-knowledge and intelligence are dangerous. After all, Hitler was knowledgeable and intelligent. Since Scripture imparts both knowledge and wisdom, it’s important that our kids read Scripture so that they can become wise lights to an educated, but dark world.
