    Don’t ignore the fact that television is a source of education for our kids. Whether it’s the nightly news, a late-night comedian or a reality tv show; our kids are being educated! For better or worse.

    Influence of Television

    If you’re like many families today, you have multiple TV’s in your home. But, just like unsupervised internet, this can mean that Junior is getting information and entertainment that can radically affect his worldview which ultimately dictates his choices and behaviors.

    It’s my belief that too many parents are unaware of the incredible power that TV talk show hosts like Stephen Colbert, John Stewart, and other more contemporary comedic icons, are having on today’s teenagers. That’s why, when it comes to TV and the internet, there should never be a screen in Junior’s bedroom. Even though I welcome opposing viewpoints into my home, I need to be around and aware to help rebut anything that may steer my child astray.
