We need to train our children in character over style. 

Style or Substance

We live in a time where style takes precedence over substance, but only to the undiscerning eye. There is still a market for those willing to put a priority on substance, even at the expense of style. Being popular may be stylish, but being allegiant to the truth, what is good and just, is what heroes are made of.

Let’s train our children in the area of personal character. Being on time, doing one’s best, putting God first in our lives, deafening the weak, standing up for what is right, and serving those who can’t serve themselves. These are all godly traits that in the long run bring joy peace and blessing to others, contentment to us, and glory to God.
