Teens today certainly have no shortage of food.
Perhaps that is a problem. I discuss one discipline that can actually save your teen in today’s one minute feature.
237 PORTIONS It’s been over 40 years since my first job at, where else, McDonalds. Everything on the menu was much smaller back then. The Cokes seemed shot-glass sized. The fries went to large, extra large–and today super size. Are the food portions we serve our kids today way over the top? I’m told, during the civil war, grown men would eat a small ration of hardtack and coffee, then march 10-20 miles just to get into a fight! I’m not suggesting we starve our kids; but, I think humans can flourish on much less food than we realize. Dialing down the portions could bring great benefits. Our kids’ll be less entitled; they’ll have more energy; they’ll think clearer, and providing the food is nutritious, they’ll be healthier too.
