When we raise our children like everyone else, we’ll have kids like everyone else.
What does it mean to be a good, godly, and effective parent? As Christian parents, it’s our responsibility to take a good look at this question.
What the Bible Says About Parenting Wisdom
In Hebrews 12, virtually all the Proverbs, and Deuteronomy 6, you’ll find the most popular passages to refer to. Unfortunately, too many of us are tempted to simply follow the multitudes. But the multitudes have taken their parenting cues from today’s culture.
Popular culture, pop psychology, the media, movies, tv, and our public schools seem to be the go-to outlets for parenting wisdom and advice. But these ways aren’t always in line with what Scripture teaches us. So if you want the same results as the world, raise your kids like the world. But if you don’t, take a good look in those Scripture passages for wisdom from our Father.
