For instance, do your kids know that America, arguably the richest and most materially blessed nation in the world, leads the world in teen suicide? When compared to a poor nation like Uganda, for instance, where the population is 50% HIV positive, kids want to live.

In addition, studies show that Christians are much happier than atheists.

Statistics like these and others should show our kids that material blessings aren’t the end-all to happiness that our culture would have us believe.

Mankind is wired for something beyond the material world. Something only God can fulfill. Those are statistics our kids should know.
