Your child may have many friends on Facebook.
But are they quality friends?
Quality Over Quantity
How many friends does your child actually have? Discussing with our kids the definition of healthy friendships is wise, as social media has helped skew its true meaning.
Friendship shouldn’t be viewed as a quantity thing, but a quality thing.
Proverbs 18:24 says, “a man of many companions may come to ruin. But there’s a friend that sticks closer than a brother.”
When our kids boast about all the “friends” they have on social media, they may be boasting about unwanted acquaintances or companions. To help them make wise choices, let’s consider working with our kids to establish a vetting process. This may also include collaborating with them to determine wise limits on their number of friends.
