Integrate

One of the top reasons parents give for giving their kids smartphones is to help them integrate and assimilate into our culture. If this is true, please produce the logical empirical proof or the biblical precedent for this. I find this idea comparable to allowing your child to walk around the house naked to help them integrate and assimilate into a nudist camp when they grow up. Surely you can see that the comparison is not as off as you might argue.

Our culture is a child molester. Why would you want to be “of” it? Yes, we are in it, but just as we would not want to do anything to spark appetites for nudist camp memberships in our kids should we really do anything to give them greater appetites for assimilating and integrating into an X-rated culture?
