The definition of what is good or evil has changed in culture.
Have we slid too?
Reflecting On Our Standards
Isaiah 5:20 says, “woe to those that call evil good and good evil.” It’s no secret that our culture has lost its moral compass. It’s important that we have routine talks with our kids about standing firm, less they, or we become even more desensitized to evil than we already are.
With self-reflection, let’s think back to ideas and things that we once thought evil but may now tolerate or even consider good. Entertainment is an effective indoctrination tool of the enemy, for example, particularly in music to warp one’s moral values. If media changes need to be made as a result of these talks, our kids may not like it but ultimately they won’t hate us for it either.
