Being vocal, holding parents accountable can encourage a more Christian way to engage with their kids.
Seeing parents empower their kids with sin, should we confront them or turn the other cheek? As Christian parents, is it our job to hold other parents accountable for their actions with their own kids?
Confronting Parents that Empower Sin
The number of parents that purchase drugs, alcohol and even condoms for their teens party supplies, well, its overwhelming. What is even hard to believe is the Christian parents that are just as guilty of doing similar for their teens. How many of the Christian parents are confronted and held accountable by other responsible parents.
Perhaps we need to be the parents that old these Christians and non-Christian parents to be accountable for these actions. For most of us, however, it’s too easy to complain and look the other way, but as God’s change agents out love for him and our fellow humans, we may need to be more vocal and/or creative about encouraging parents like these with healthier ways to engage their kids.
