Packing breakfast for your child is good, but not for when you go to a restaurant.
What is the story?
Box Lunch
I was eating breakfast at a local restaurant when a young mother and her little boy walked in and sat down in the booth next to mine. Perhaps there was more to this story than met my eye, but I am seeing similar scenarios more and more lately. A young parent ordering off the menu at a sit-down restaurant while their child, in this case, a boy of about 4, digs into a happy meal that had just been purchased from the Mcdonald’s across the street.
Do you see a problem here? When kids are routinely accommodated to that degree at that early of an age it causes problems! Aside from the obvious health issues, this child is en-route to the dregs of “entitlement-ville” and perhaps even darker places when his teen years arrive.
