Do our kids know that God actually wants to bless them?

Do they complain that God doesn’t answer their prayers? Do we do the same?

Even as humans we don’t give our pets treats until they obey our commands. We certainly wouldn’t reward them for soiling our carpets every day.

Well, our kids need to know that God works in a similar way. So when they live like hell expecting heaven as a reward remind them of Proverbs 19:3. “A man’s own folly ruins his life, yet his heart rages against the Lord.”

Just as Satan roams the earth seeking to devour, God pans the earth seeking to bless if we’ll just give him the opportunity. And that comes through obedience.
