Many parents, and teens, may justify their obsession with technology because they cannot find a Scripture and verse that points to digital usage.
In today’s post, I point out how the Bible talks about digital technology in a round-about way when it comes to parenting.
Today’s young people are too often using their digital devices to amuse themselves into imbecility, while we parents are too often using these same gadgets to turn the American dream into the American nightmare.
And the result?
More and more families are failing to put enough margin in their lives to effectively pass-on their faith to their kids.
Psalm 78 is a great biblical reference to help put some of this in perspective. It’s a long chapter that discusses the importance of passing on our faith to the next generation. To give our kids and grandkids the best chance of experiencing eternal life—both here and now and the there and then—we must be intentional to share with them the history and truth of God and His Word.
