Christmas is over and the bills are rolling in.
Was the debt worth it all?
Being Somebody
Kids have a hard enough time keeping it real they don’t need plastic parents putting a premium on style rather than substance. In this day of “easy credit,” it is so easy to live beyond our means and lose focus on real priorities. This creates hollow people that cultivate Hollywood-type superficial relationships. Unfortunately, this hollowness affects our kids.
Proverbs 12:9 says, “Better to be a nobody and yet have a servant than pretend to be somebody and have no food.” Kids see through the facade of parents buying things they don’t need, with money they don’t have, to impress people they don’t like. So if you want to truly live, live within your means.
