How you look at the past and apply it to scripture will determine your future.
What will your future be?
A Renewed Mind
If our kids are to acquire and sustain a biblical worldview, which is imperative for healthy spiritual and emotional development in Christian families, we must read, understand, and actually heed what is written in scripture. This is as true in the realm of parenting as in any other realm of life. The ugly truth, however, is that too many self-proclaimed Christain parents have taken their cues from the secular mental health industry more religiously than God’s word.
Ephesians 4:17 tells us that, “we should not do what the gentiles do.” Romans 12:2 makes a similar proclamation about not conforming to the patterns of this world but rather we should be “transformed by the renewing of our minds.” For what it’s worth I see regular family transformations when they follow these biblical mandates.
