Help your kids find wisdom when you help them find good friends.
How does one lead to the other?
Wise Friends
As a kid, I remember the impact my friends had on my thoughts and behaviors. But at day’s end, those friends all went home to be with their families. Today, with no social media limits the influence of our kids’ friends can virtually be 24/7.
Proverbs 13:20 says, “He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.” When that proverb was written there was certainly no way friends could have around-the-clock influence on one another as they can today. Still, Solomon emphasized choosing one’s friends wisely. You may not want to choose your kids’ friends, but it is incumbent upon you to teach your kids how to choose good friends and keep them from choosing bad ones.
