It can be a big challenge for parents to work with disobedient children. But is it possible that you have been accidentally training your kids to be disobedient?
Parents must understand the importance of consistent discipline. If kids learn that there is a way around the consequences for disobedience, they will test your limits every time.
How Training Your Kids to Obey Your Instructions the First Time Will Lead to Positive Results
“How many times do I have to tell you to clean your room?” Well, the correct answer should be only once. But if you are one of those parents who tells Junior to do something three, four, five, or even six times before the task actually gets taken seriously, you are effectively training your child to disobey you.
And if your voice gets louder with each request, then Junior will learn which decibel you are willing to reach before he actually needs to get a move on. Either way, you are training your child. Our kids need to know, ahead of time, that if our command isn’t heeded at once, there will be consequences in store. The results will be less stress, more respect, and timely results.
