How do these two things coincide?

They Want Us

It is easy to burn the candle at both ends to give our kids everything we think they need. But, by doing so we can easily forfeit the very thing they need most in life. Us. But they don’t just need us- they want us! Working with kids for a living at Shepherd’s Hill Academy I hear this “straight from the horse’s mouth” all the time.

One thing is for sure. On our deathbed, we are not going to say, “I wish I would have spent more time at the office.” We don’t get a second crack at our children’s childhood. Psalm 127:2 says, “In vain you rise early and stay up late toiling for food to eat. For He grants sleep to those He loves.”
