At some point, all parents will run up against questions to which they do not have the answers. So what should parents do when they are in situations like this?
Well, first of all, they may want to seek a reliable source of parenting wisdom. When questions arise, this source can help provide the insight they need to face whatever challenges come their way.
Where Can Parents Find a Reliable Source of Parenting Wisdom
As moms and dads go through the difficult and rewarding journey of parenting, they would be prudent to establish their source for parenting wisdom. But what is a good source? Is a popular psychologist the best source? Is it an entertainer? Perhaps a governmental institution? None of these are the true source and authority on parenting. I should have a pretty good idea; I see the lives of teens and families being changed for the better all the time.
When I hear good advice coming from a TV psychologist, an entertainer, or a government official, chances are, I have already heard that advice from the Bible. It is true that the Bible can be interpreted poorly. So can every other book or collection of wisdom and information. But if we strive to seek the wisdom of the Bible to the best of our ability, we will be that much closer to having a child-raising experience that is both successful and satisfying.
