Well, what this expert is talking about is the fact that we’re in a new millennium. It’s not 1959 anymore, and what you don’t know about your kid’s friend’s parents … may surprise you. So allowing your child to spend the night with people you, and even they, don’t really know, is an absolute recipe for disaster in today’s technology-fueled post-Christian culture. What does the other family consider appropriate when it comes to television, music, movies, and activities? The only place I’d could ever think of approving a sleep-over would be in my own home–and with kids whose backgrounds I know and who are OK with being regularly monitored.
