Slacker

One of the most challenging things to get parents to believe is that kids actually enjoy work. Especially if they are taught to work smart, hard, and made to do it correctly. That is when they feel better bout themselves and about life. Work is actually a mood elevator and kids will tell you so.

However, when they are allowed to be slack in their work it is as if they have never worked at all. That is when it becomes drudgerous for them. This may sound counterintuitive to a lot of people, but it is true. Even Proverbs 18:9 says, “ One who is slack in his work is brother to one who destroys.” Teaching our kids to work and to do it with excellence is the key character builder and mood elevator that will equip them for life as happy and productive adults.
