Are your kids doing things you are not aware of? In today’s world…Count on it.
Do you recall your teenage years? Is there anything your parents don’t know about from your time as a child? Now imagine that same situation, but with digital access to the world. That’s the age our kids are living in!
Taking Advantage of Our Meaningful Minutes
Considering the average American parent spends about two minutes in real meaningful dialogue with their teenagers each day, what do you think kids are exposed to or engaged in the other 23 hours and 58 minutes or when we’re not even home to monitor their activities? To put this in perspective, let’s think about all we did that our parents weren’t aware of when we were teens. Now add to the equation, Junior’s access to round the clock digital perversions and those of all his friends. Should we, perhaps, re-think the merits of downsizing a bit, so that we can afford at least one parent being a full-time mentor to our kids?
