Practice is essential for success in any area.

When your child fails, have them repeat it again, and again, and again.
Repetition
It is so important to steer our kids early on to do the right thing in every circumstance. Repetition is part of the process. But doing the right thing doesn’t come naturally so we need to be consistent in making our children do it.
Many of us think that we don’t have the right to make our children do much of anything anymore, depending on their age. This follows the popular notion that your children should be allowed to explore on their own and experience natural consequences along the way. Which isn’t a bad idea in the minor things of life! However, as children get older the natural consequences can be more severe than anyone is willing to endure. This is why it is important to repeatedly steer your children back to the moral standards you know to be right. Repetition really is a great teacher. It’s called training.
