The topics I discuss on License to Parent are typically serious in nature.
Maybe a little too serious at times. This week, I wanted to lighten up by providing you with some laughs by sharing some of my favorite quotes to making light of the youth culture.
We can all make light of the teen years. G.K. Chesterton said: “We spend the first half of our lives fighting with our parents, and the second half fighting with our kids.”
My pastor once said that “Grandkids are God’s reward for not killing our own.”
How many teenagers does it take to screw in a light bulb? Answer: Just one! The teen holds the light bulb and the whole world revolves around him.
And my personal favorite: In a universe called “Me,” today’s teens have accidentally ended up on 3rd base living under the delusion they’ve just hit a triple.
We can make light of the teen years, knowing we’ve all been there ourselves. But, truthfully, teen struggles aren’t always a laughing matter.
