Polluted

Many are aware of James 1:27 which speaks of looking after orphans and widows as being true religion. You don’t often hear people quoting the last part of that verse which also commands us to keep ourselves from being polluted by the world. Have we already become polluted by the world simply through what we are regularly entertained by? These things will affect your attitude, behaviors, and value systems.

If we are dazzled and frazzled by our children’s attitudes, behaviors, and value systems we would do well to examine their entertainment habits and ask if it glorifies God. However, if your child owns their own smartphone this would be like playing a perpetual game of whack-a-mole.
