SPIRITUAL INFLUENCE of MUSIC – Could the music your kids are listening to be negatively affecting their relationship with you and with God? My experience tells me absolutely! Perhaps the most destructive and overlooked tool of the devil used against teenagers today is what they are being indoctrinated with by way of music.
Johann Sebastian Bach said that, “all music should be for the glory of God and the refreshment of the human spirit.” Music is deeply spiritual—and you won’t hear that point argued by your favorite rock or rap star either. But, the question remains; by what spirit? If a song can cause us to unconsciously tap our foot, can it cause us to make other unconscious decisions—perhaps sinful ones?
