Is the American Dream Really Worth it

In today’s culture parents need to evaluate if the American dream is really worth it.

In today’s post I want to provide you with a reason why you may want to reconsider the American dream.

Are you one of those parents guilty of frantically treading the hamster wheel in pursuit of the American dream?

Has stress and exhaustion left you thinking the American dream is actually a nightmare?

You know, life is a trade off. The time you spend pursuing upward mobility is time you’ll never get back with your kids at their young and tender ages. And just think how much turmoil trying to “have it all” has actually cost you.

Proverbs 15:16 says, “Better a little with the fear of the Lord than great wealth with turmoil.”

The Proverbs are filled with bold and subtle reminders of life’s priorities. The wise and discerning parent knows what to say “yes” to, “no” to— and when. Again, life is a trade-off; so, choose wisely.
