Fathers, today’s broadcast is for you. (But mothers aren’t excluded here!) Do you have aspirations for your child to follow in your footsteps? Listen in!
Maybe you want your child to go to the same college, run the family business, become a superstar. Or maybe you want to give them the life you wished you could have had. Regardless of your aspirations for your children, make sure you aren’t excluding the most important piece of the parenting puzzle.
Making Your Child the Best
We all know the stories of fathers obsessed with making their kids the best at whatever. They put golf clubs, baseball bats or microphones in their kids’ hands before they can barely walk, with the hope of bringing Junior to the top of his craft by the time he reaches adulthood. The result: excellent golfers, baseball players, and stage performers. But, how is the world a better place as a result? What if those same kinds of fathers sought first the KOG and took just a fraction of their obsessive qualities to impart real moral character into their kids—a biblical character that put others first in everything? I think we’d all like to live in that world.
