Are your kids always wanting you to take them here, there and everywhere?
Kids are given so many opportunities and distractions as they are growing up. Sometimes they want to have it all!
Having it All
Most kids today have the fear of missing out, or FOMO (FOMO is the acronym for Fear of Missing Out) because of what their peers are doing. You have probably heard of FOMO from your kids or from social media. By living in the digital age, our kids cannot avoid the inundation of entertainment and the relational opportunities through social media on a daily basis.
Even with all this socialization, sadly, this is the most unhappy, ungrateful, and unsatisfied generation in history. More isn’t always better, and we need to let our kids know this. We can help them choose and set limits on the number of activities they get involved in or pursue this year. Let them know that it is okay, and impossible to know and do everything and be everywhere with everyone all the time.
