Even though expletives are accepted today avoiding using them is still best.
Why?
Expletives
Not all expletives are considered curse words, but when we allow our kids to use language filled with expletives we are unwittingly allowing an unhealthy and undisciplined spirit to reside in them. This sets up both us and them for future problems.
As bad as the language is and sounds, it is actually the mindset and disposition it creates in our kids that we should consider. This is why Jesus taught us to speak forthrightly with our “yes” meaning “yes” and our “no” meaning “no”. In addition, Ephesians 4:29 says, “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouth, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs that it may benefit those who listen.”
