Do you sometimes feel like you have all of the parenting questions and few of the parenting answers? Does it seem like you hear more about the issues your kids may be struggling with than about how you should actually address these things?
Well, this may be where developing a biblical worldview needs to come into the picture. You may believe the Bible’s teachings, but how often do you seek advice or comfort from the insights in this book? Perhaps learning to see the world through the wisdom of Scripture can begin to give you the answers, advice, and comfort you need.
How Developing a Biblical Worldview Can Bring Relief to Worried Parents
As often as I talk about the influence of our culture on our kids’ attitudes and behaviors, it is easy to be overcome with a sense of worry. But let me encourage you with something. If you are claiming to have a biblical worldview, the truth is on your side regarding wisdom or any moral or family issue affecting your family today.
The question is, do you truly have a biblical worldview? And beyond that, are you living it out and able to articulate it to those, including your kids, who would challenge any presuppositions about parenting and all the other hot-button issues in life today? As Christian parents, this should motivate us to dig deeper into biblical perspectives about the common issues the devil currently uses to cause us to doubt and worry.
