CHANGING THE DIAL – Virtually the first thing many families do when traveling in their cars is to flip on the radio–whether it be pop music, talk radio, or their favorite morning zoo. It’s just part of our “entertain me into imbecility” mindset today’s culture has indoctrinated all of us with. However, when kids and parents, alike, get a steady diet of this stuff, the worldview it serves up can eventually permeate, and even overcome any biblical worldview they claim to own.
Why not be intentional about fueling your family’s biblical worldview by occasionally changing the dial–just occasionally. Good Bible teaching and worship music can be found on virtually any radio any time. You’ll be surprised just how you and your children will have your appetites affected by it – as it helps nurture the Holy Spirit in you, and helps cultivate, rather than exterminate, your biblical worldview.
