COLLEGE OR CAREER – There are a myriad of culturally indoctrinated phenomenons, today, that so many of today’s American parents just accept without really challenging them with critical thought. For instance, why do so many parents feel that their kids are automatically doomed to failure for opting out of a college education? If the career that Junior feels led to pursue doesn’t require college, wouldn’t it make more sense to get a jump start on the career he feels God has called him to?
I’m am certainly not against college; but, if your child’s passion and calling doesn’t require continued education to live a prosperous and fulfilled life, it could be a waste of time and money. Ecclesiastes 5:18 says “It is good and proper for a man to find satisfaction and happiness in his work.” This is a prosperity and success that no amount of formal education can offer.
