If media is not safe or restricted, what can we do?
Train our kids to be safe influencers in the media world.
Raising Digital Leaders
With the digital world now so invasive, controlling, and damaging, most parents may need a more Amish-like approach to their kids and technology.
Left alone, tech-immersed kids are finding it hard to do the right thing, even when they want to. For parents with the will and resources to be at home with their kids, may I suggest another approach.
Most families can’t just bail out of the digital world. Nor should they. Yet if we don’t want to be evilly controlled by it we better prepare the right kids to be leaders in it.
We don’t want evil controlling algorithms any more than we want evil controlling nuclear energy. So while most kids need more shielding from tech abuse, it’s time to determine if some of our kids should actually be groomed to be digital leaders.
