If you’re like many families today, you have multiple TVs in your home.
Is this necessarily a good thing? I’d like to present one reason this may not be a wise practice.
Just like un-supervised Internet, this can mean that Junior is getting information and entertainment that can radically affect his worldview—which ultimately dictates his choices and behaviors.
It’s my belief that too many parents are unaware of the incredible power that TV talkshow hosts like Stephen Colbert, John Stewart and other more contemporary comedic icons, have on today’s teenagers. That’s why when it comes TV and the Internet there should never be a screen in Junior’s bedroom.
Though you should welcome opposing viewpoints into your home, you need to be around and aware to help rebut anything that may steer your child astray.
