The Case for Open Dialogue about Dating, Sex, and Marriage
In a recent study, 87% of teens believe they’ll be married someday, and 82% believe they’ll be married for life. Since married couples who have received premarital counseling are 30% more likely to stay married, it would be wise to promote premarital counseling with our kids.
Topics such as dating, sex, marriage, and pre-marital counseling shouldn’t be an 11th-hour discussion. When these talks are experienced early and often, not only will your child be more likely to accept healthy views on dating, marriage, and sex, but premarital counseling is also more likely to become a normal part of the marriage process.
