But what does this mean?

If you think that parenting your children was difficult before the Supreme Court ruling in favor of same-sex marriage, I can assure you that things will be getting much tougher. Our children need to know that government isn’t God even though it may act like it sometimes.

They also need to know that our government has made some incredible mistakes through the years. These mistakes include things like legalizing slavery, Jim Crow laws, the suppression of women’s voting rights, and legalized abortion.

The good news, however, is that over time committed Christians have always led the charge to get many of these laws overturned. Training our kids to be involved in government may actually be a key to our nation’s future.
