Where does your family fit into your schedule with your career or your hobbies? Are they above your other interests, or do they often take a back seat?
Trace tells us how to find peace, contentment and balance, all while raising kids we like to be around.
Raise Kids You Like
The first thing is to repent. The truth be told, more and more parents are dedicated to their careers and their hobbies than they are to their families. What should a person like this do to find the peace and contentment that could be missing in their life? Without realizing it, these types of parents have helped produce kids they actually don’t like. Staying busy and away from the kids to avoid the situation of parenting is a catharsis. So is taking time to raise kids that you can actually say you like.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying these parents don’t love their kids. I’m sure they do, but training and disciplining kids in the early years will yield kids we can not only love, but actually like. To help parents to know what to do in raising kids, they would do well to camp out in the book of Proverbs as a great way to make it all a reality.
