How is this not counter intuitive?

Far too many parents, including Christian parents, are way too cavalier regarding their kid’s dating and entertainment guidelines if there are any at all. It could be that many of us just feel too guilty regarding our own past and don’t feel we have a right to demand from our children what we did not demand from ourselves.

Remember, although King David was a man after God’s own heart his sex scandal with Bathsheba became a needless precursor to those of his kids. Regardless of your past, you still have an obligation to put proper boundaries in areas that will limit your kid’s sexual temptation.
