It’s Sunday morning and your family is off to church. But do your attitudes and actions today line up with who you are Monday – Saturday?
You’ve heard the phrase “What you see is what you get,” but how does that apply to your parenting?
What You See Is What You Get
Living out our parenting (and Christian) lives in a “What you see is what you get” fashion is vitally important to nurturing a healthy and respectful relationship with our children (and God!).
Have you ever wondered why our perfect attendance at church hasn’t made the very obvious impact on our children that we expected? There’s nothing our youth today hate more than hypocrisy and false fronts, despite the irony of living lives on social media. As believers, we are called to be genuine in our walk with the Lord. The more our children witness this genuine obedience and relationship with our Savior, the more they will desire to serve and obey Him as well. Don’t let your kids see someone different during the week than on Sunday morning. ” Be an example of “What you see is what you get.”
