In many homes today, little boys and girls are growing up without a good fatherly influence. Many kids are missing out on seeing what it means to be a respectable man, and are certainly not learning the qualities of our Heavenly Father from dad.

Why are many men today having difficulties being fathers? Could it be because our culture often rejects the God-given qualities of fatherhood?
Accepting the God-given Qualities of Fatherhood
The culture of today, often holds men back from fulfilling the purposes that God created them for. No wonder so many men have given up on being assertive fathers!
Many fathers today don’t know how to act anymore. Dads are expected to be tactful before speaking their mind, act with more understanding than authority, and show more grace than punishment. These are actually all good things, but we cannot forget that fathers are meant to enforce discipline.
Trying to love at the expense of discipline has resulted in failure time and time again. Keep in mind that our loving Christ corrected His people by chasing, not children, but fully grown adults out of the temple. In this He loved, He disciplined, and He did not sin.
Fathers, we must hold on to the purpose that God created in us despite the trend in our culture to misunderstand and steal them away.
