Get A Job 2
Too many parents are either too afraid to make their kids get a job, too concerned about interrupting their fun, or too indifferent to care. However, one thing I have learned in my decades of working with kids and raising five of my own is that kids rarely feel right or good about themselves unless they are contributing to not just their own personal development, but the development of their family as well. Having a job does both of these things.
When your teens are working to help pay for some of the things they have always relied on you for they are given a sense of confidence and accomplishment that attaining the next level of a video game just cannot match. That ought to bring you a sense of confidence as well. That your children aren’t just frittering their lives away, but rather maturing into self-reliant adults.
