How do you measure “normal”?
The DSM may not be a resource we can fully trust anymore.
DSM Disorder
The bible for today’s secular mental health field is called the Diagnostic Statistical Manual or DSM. In it, a personality disorder is defined as an enduring pattern of inner experience and behavior that deviates markedly from the expectations of the individual’s culture. It is pervasive, inflexible, stable over time, and leads to distress or impairment.
This emphasis on culture is exactly why I think the gay agenda has pushed to normalize this behavior in our culture. Mission accomplished. Now as parents, we need to normalize a biblical worldview in our communities lest Christianity becomes the latest personality disorder.
