The biblical foundations of parenting still work.
They work in spite of what today’s culture says.
Don’t Back Down
Last time I talked about the importance of having foundations for life and child-rearing. But it seems like in recent times we’ve bought into the politically incorrect lie that the parenting foundation of godly discipline is actually abuse.
We’ve resolved that training kids to do what they ought to do is narrow-minded and expecting too much. Though both things can be abusive if not tempered by the holy spirit and a biblical worldview, let no one deter you from the righteous biblical foundations that demand that you properly govern and train your kids with high behavioral expectations. Start young.
This doesn’t make you unrighteous. In fact, it makes you the opposite. As Psalm 11:3 says, “When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
