Does it really need to be said that sex is a great thing? Within the confines of marriage, there is nothing more intimate between two people. That’s the way God designed it.

What happens, however, when sex is taken outside of marriage? Does it really change things all that much?
The Beauty of Sex in Marriage
Everywhere we turn, we and our kids are bombarded with entertainment and advertisements that use sex to sell everything from automobiles to hamburgers. So, we’d be wise to sit down with our kids and have a healthy discussion about this. Sex is not something they need to think we consider taboo.
They need to know that, since God invented sex, it’s a good thing, and not something to be cheapened or exploited. Rather, it needs to be respected for the Divine gift of intimacy that it is. They need to know that just as fire in the confines of a fireplace is a beautiful thing, sex within the confines of marriage is too. Conversely, fire and sex outside of their designed confines can be very dangerous.
